Is it possible to customize candles?

Yes! You can customize your candles choosing color, fragrance, size, shape and quantity.

How do I clean a soy wax spill?

Cleaning up candle wax can sound intimidating but it isn't.

Fortunately, soy wax can be cleaned up with simple household cleaners and other items you likely already have around the house. Depending on the surface, you’ll need:

Hot water
Hair dryer
Dish soap
Paper towels
An iron
Glass cleaner

2 things to keep in mind: 1) soy wax is an oil so use the same approach to cleaning it up as you would any other type of oil. 2) Use your best judgment according to the surface you're dealing with.

The best way to clean spilled soy wax, is when it's still liquid: soak up large spills when the wax, especially on fabrics. Once the wax has hardened, you can scrape it off. Just remember not to get so carried away that you end up scratching the surface, like a wooden coffee table.

Treating Wax Mishaps on Various Surfaces

- Table or desk: If the surface is wood, soften the wax with a hair dryer. You can use a soft cloth to wipe it up once it’s melted. If you can still see oily puddles, gently wash the area with a mild dish soap and warm water.

- Carpet: Carpet might seem like an impossible surface to clean, but an iron and classic brown paper bags are your secret weapons. Place the bag (a surprisingly absorbent material) over the offending spot, then iron on the lowest setting. Take care to keep the iron moving and use additional bags, if needed, until all the wax has been soaked up.

- Clothing or Other Cloth: If the wax is still melted, sop up as much as you can with paper towels. Place the item in the freezer for about a half hour, scrape off the hardened wax, then use the trusted iron-and-brown-bag approach. If a stubborn stain persists, try stain-remover or a dab of laundry detergent before you launder it.

- Walls: Splatters have a way of making their way everywhere, including walls. You can use an iron set to the lowest setting and similar to the brown bag method, sandwich paper towels in between the wax and iron.

- Tubs and Sinks: We know a relaxing soak isn’t complete without your favorite soothing candles but if you got a little too zenned out, wax can be scraped off of bathtub ledges (and sinks and other hard surfaces, like glass) with a credit card or other hard plastic edge. If it really won’t budge, douse the area in boiling water first.

- Screens: It usually allows you to simply pop it off.

- Candle Holders: Candle holders and other small items can be especially tedious to clean. Freeze the wax for easy cleanup–after a half hour or so in the freezer, you can usually tap or snap it off.

Do you do international shipping?

No. At the moment we are shipping only throughout the United States.

What are the warnings about candles?

-Burn within sight.

-Keep candles away from flammable objects.

-Keep candles away from children and pets.

-Don't leave a burning candle unattended.

-Don't leave a burning candle by the window.

What are the burning instructions?

-Trim wick to 1/4" before lighting.

-Keep candle free of any foreign materials including matches and wick trimmings.

-Only burn the candle on a level, fire resistant surface.

-Do not burn candle for more than four hours at a time.

-Stop use when only 1/4" of wax remains.

What are the return policies?

At The Golden Candle all of our products are carefully inspected before they are shipped.

Due to the nature of our products, customized or used candles cannot be returned or refunded. However, we will replace or refund products damaged during shipment if photographic proof of damage is submitted to us within 7 days of delivery.

You may return your unused product within 14 days of purchase. The buyer is responsible for shipping cost on all return items.

We do not accept exchanges.

TO INITIATE A RETURN

Within 14 days of your order, please send us a message at our contact page with a return request, letting us know the reason for your return.
Once your return is approved we will send you the return address and your Return Authorization number.
Please be sure that your package is returned using the same wrapping that it was packed in or something similar. Be sure that the candles are protected and packed securely so that they arrive in good condition.
Please save the tracking information.

Do you use any paraffin?

No.

We use high-quality products, such as, soy wax, eco-friendly wicks, and natural fragrances.

Our candles are crafted from premium soybeans. Unlike paraffin (which is derived from crude oil refining, that is, pollutant and unhealthy), soy wax is a natural, renewable, and biodegradable product and has a clean burn.

An important difference to note in our wicks is that they have been primed with vegetable wax rather than paraffin wax. Therefore, our wicks are also sustainable!

PERSONAL INFORMATION WE COLLECT

Where are you located?

Our workshop is in King of Prussia, Pennsylvania, USA.

Can I pay with cash at the deliver time?

No. Only online payments are accepted (cards, PayPal, ApplePay)

Can you buy a card and write a message and send with the candle as a gift?

Yes.

Before you checkout, please write a note asking for a card, what type of card you want, and leave you phone number. We will contact and call you to give you card options to choose.
